Refrain from positioning your bed directly under a beam. A beam may create feelings of pressure that can disrupt your sleep. If you have no other options, cover the beam with fabric or hang 2 bamboo flutes from the beam with the mouthpieces pointed downward. This will help block some of the unwanted energy coming from above the bed. The idea is that you don't want to feel threatened in your sleep.
The feng shui consultant recognizes that it's not always possible to leave the under-bed area completely clutter-free: "If you do need to store items under the bed, be mindful of who gave these items to you and what emotional content you associate with them." She adds that some items—specifically bedding, clothing, and towels—are better to store under the bed than others. A small number of books is also acceptable, as long as their titles and content are positive.
“When it comes to choosing bedding, go with something that feels good and that you’re drawn to,” Cho says. “I recommend getting organic cotton sheets whenever possible because they’re toxin-free and breathable. No one sleeps well if they’re too hot or too cold,” Cho says. Softness matters, too. The general rule is that the higher the thread count, the softer the sheets. The National Sleep Foundation recommends going with a thread count between 200 and 400. (Though, in the summer, you’ll want the thread count to be on the lower end to help with airflow.)

Consider instead using peach as an accent tone on pillows, throws, and small objects. While accent walls and wallpapers can be tempting, they should be kept to a minimum and also have gentle colors and limited patterns.
To ensure a good night's sleep, be conscious of your bedroom's ceiling as well, suggests Cerrano. "Do you have a ceiling fan, beams, a skylight, an angled or slanted ceiling design?" she asks. "Any of these could negatively affect your sleep and energy as they relate to Sha energy (which drains a person's energy)," Cerrano explains. If your ceiling has any of the aforementioned items, avoid sleeping directly under them, if you can, she suggests.
According to feng shui expert, Rodika Tchi, Chi is manifested in yin yang characteristics, or the idea that our universe is made up of two opposing yet deeply interconnected forces of Yin and Yang. It is important to identify sources of imbalance and create once again the right amount for those that occupy a particular space and also for the space's original purpose. If you use your phone as your alarm clock, keep it five to 10 feet away from your bed so you have to get up to shut it off. This way, you’re also not tempted for a late-night scroll on Instagram or Facebook. Guilty? “Before you consider buying a white noise maker, I would try to remove as many electronics from your bedroom,” Cho says. According Cho and other feng shui experts, electronics release electromagnetic energy, even if they’re not being used, so it’s best to keep them out of the bedroom. You might also want to try flowing to these yoga poses to help prepare your body for bed.
“In feng shui, these trucks just gave off a form of Qi. It is this type of Qi that gives you the edgy feeling when you drive next to it. It is the kind of invisible pressure you feel when you’re right next to a bigger object or within a narrow space. Low ceilings, low hanging chandeliers, and huge furniture also tend to give off this form of Qi, but you will feel it only when you’re right under these objects or very close to it.”

She explains that sloped ceilings create an uneven distribution of energy in the room, which gets pushed down onto the bed.
