The best way we can positively contribute to achieving balance on the planet—clearly so much larger than ourselves—is to take care of what we do have control over, that is, our own spaces: our body and our homes with the art and science of feng shui. We each have our own cycle of the five elements taking place within ourselves constantly striving for balance. For example, the specific goal of acupuncture is to correct imbalances of the five elements within us and to properly promote the flow of chi throughout the body. Each organ system and meridian line correlates to one of the five elements.
Experts have mentioned that the dragon turtle can also neutralize the negative energy from the annual Flying Stars, particularly the #2 and #5 stars. Further, others have mentioned that it can cure the bad Feng Shui caused by two doors facing each other. To use it, simply place it somewhere in between those two doors, whether that be two bedroom doors within a house or two front doors of two different houses.

Feng shui-wise, you can strengthen specific areas of your home with specific Buddha sculptures. The Laughing Buddha is excellent in your money area, while the Medicine Buddha can be a good feng shui decorating item for your health and family area. As always with good feng shui, attention is paid to details such as colors and materials. If your Buddha statue is made from metal (an expression of the Metal feng shui element), it can create excellent energy in the areas of West, Northwest or North. If it is made from clay or a similar looking material resembling the Earth feng shui element, you can place it in your Northeast area for good feng shui.

The rooster may be the same as the Rooster King mentioned below (I am not sure, but their uses seem to differ). The rooster has a literal use. The figurine can be used to counter the “Centipede Xa”, symbolizing the rooster devouring the centipede. The “Centipede Xa” comes from power lines or pipes, resembling a centipede, that are visible from your kid’s bedroom (if you have kids) or kitchen window. To cure the Xa, place the rooster figurine facing towards the “centipede” as a cure for this negative Feng Shui energy.
Because our energy is so interrelated with our home’s energy, we are positively or negatively affected by the positive or negative of energy within our home. If there is an energy imbalance in the feng shui of our home, the effects of that imbalance will show up somewhere in our life. Our home is a mirror of ourselves. Imbalances in the energy of our home could show up anywhere from health issues to relationship problems. For example, have you ever experienced a sudden shift—good or bad—in your life situation as soon as you move into a new home?

Feng Shui — a traditional Chinese home decor philosophy — may not be the sexiest topic. (Which is unfair, really, considering that when practiced correctly, it leads to better sex. Let’s see you compete with that, mid-century modern.) But we're especially interested in Feng Shui’s role in prosperity: How the ancient Chinese art of placement can help you save more, earn more, and just attract those money-bag-emoji vibes.
But when you follow this guide, you'll end up with colors that fit just right — they'll help your house work exactly as it should, and make you feel right at home. We tapped Laura Benko, holistic Feng Shui expert and author of The Holistic Home: Feng Shui Your Mind, Body, Spirit, Space, and New York-based interior designer Elena Frampton, who's been a Feng Shui hobbyist since she was a teen, for their most thoughtful advice on the subject. Consider this the color primer you've been waiting for — even if you don't think you're the Feng Shui "type."
This is a very important room when it comes to creating abundance. You want the color scheme to promote the positive aspects of the activities taking place. The nourishment of the body is the utmost activity, but there is also a social component with the interaction of the family and/or friends partaking in meals. To accomplish this, the best feng shui dining room colors include:
Why? Bedrooms should be calm spaces to promote rest and rejuvenation. The earth element is best in bedrooms to support being grounded. Too bright colors are too active for bedrooms and too dark colors are too depressing. We want the right amont of restfulness but not to the point that it is depressing. For children’s bedrooms, make sure to NOT paint them purple or pink. Use a more restful sage green and accessorize with the purples and pinks only. These are far too fiery for bedroom wall colors and most likely you will find you child will love the room during the day but won’t want to sleep there at night. See my article on Yin and Yang for a balanced home and Feng Shui for Children’s and Teen’s Rooms.

The 2019 feng shui cures are applied on February 4th. Why? Because feng shui cures are usually applied on the Solar New Year (February 4th, 2019), not the Lunar New Year (February 5, 2019). Of course, you can also apply them at any time in 2019! The principle of “better late than never” sure applies when it comes to creating good feng shui in your space. Start with a clean and orderly home first; do not apply the yearly feng shui cures –- in fact, do not apply any feng shui cures -– if your house has chaotic energy created by clutter and lack of order/cleanliness.

Ok, let’s move on to specific feng shui wealth essentials. The main feng shui wealth color is gold, gold, gold (of course!)  In any decor items – mirrors,  frames, lamp bases, trays, coffee tables, etc – whatever your house decor can feel harmonious and happy with! Just be sure to actually love those golden beauties, do not bring something just for the sake of its look if you are not connected to it emotionally.
There are five elements in feng shui and 2019 is an Earth element year.  As each feng shui element is expressed in several colors, this gives us quite a few options to choose from. The world has been created by the sound. Lord Chirst said that the world was created by the word and that word was "LORD". Even in our Guru Granth Saheb, it is said that Lord is the "SHABD". Every Mantra starts with the word "OM". This bell emits the sound, which created this world, and this bell is made up of 5 elements the world is made up of : EARTH, WATER, FIRE, AIR, ETHER. This sound of "OM" removes negative energies and enhance positive energies leaving you in a better frame of mind to deal with things positively.

If your light is too limited to grow healthy plants, or if you simply have a case of “brown thumb,” silk plants are an acceptable Feng Shui alternative to living plants. Be sure to dust them often and replace them if they fade. However, it's best to avoid dried flowers because they represent stagnant energy. If you simply can’t give up your dried arrangements, be sure to dust them frequently and replace them seasonally.

Mirrors are the absolute must-have feng shui wealth magnet for so many reasons! They bring more light, joy and the energy of the water feng shui element into any space. Mirrors also create beautiful pathways for new and joyful opportunities, just be sure to go for the best mirrors you can find; the ones that your heart adores and your room looks good in. Golden framing is obviously the best choice for the use of a mirror as a wealth feng shui cure.
But what are the best colors to paint using the principles of Feng Shui? It depends on the room. When you select colors for the floor, walls, and ceiling, make sure to employ the Five-Elemental Cycle using three colors. Also, don't think a ceiling has to be white; light beige or even brighter colors that complement the walls add depth and creativity to a room.

Stale air and poor lighting are big enemies of good feng shui, so give your room as much natural light and good air as possible. These are another foundation of good feng shui energy and there are many ways you can improve both. For example, if you only have a few small windows, decorate with mirrors to bring in more natural light and try to layer your indoor lighting.
