It's important to balance the yin and yang in the bedroom, and one way to do that is by mixing textures, says Cerrano. Yin (the feminine energy) is evident in soft textures like a plush rug or soft blanket and "brings in that mothering, nurturing energy and emotion," she explains. The masculine yang energy, on the other hand, can be found in hard wood floors, for example. However, men can have feminine energies and vice versa, which is why Cerrano suggests balancing hard and soft textures in the bedroom. Los agrees: “Too many bedrooms now are too yang."
Keep your bed far away from any TVs, desks, or other distractions. Ideally, you should move your desk and television out of your bedroom, so the bedroom truly becomes a place where you can rest and relax. However, we all have limited space, so if you do have a television or a desk in your room, position it as far from your bed as possible to not get in the way of the bed's positive energy. If you can, drape a light scarf or blanket over the TV or desk, or even cover it up with a Japanese folding closet to create even more space.

And then there’s the pillow situation. A welcoming bed has soft blankets and enough pillows for two people. Piling on too many pillows makes your bed feel too crowded and cluttered, according to feng shui experts. Finding the right kind of pillow will depend largely on your sleep position. Rectangular or square tables are OK in the dining room because, even though they have corners, no one will be sitting in front of a point, as they might with a coffee table. When it comes to moving past a failed relationship, your first order of business is cutting the cord to your last one. “We use the word ‘energy cord,’” Cerrano says. “If you have all this stuff from [a past relationship] scattered through your home, it’s energetically creating a cord to that person. When you're done with a relationship, it’s recommended that, at your own pace, you release the things that aren’t beneficial anymore.”

Hi Victor! The beam in our room is placed in the middle, so there’s no way you can avoid it even if you move the bed, so i made a diy canopy to cover the beam. We’re living in an apartment so we cannot put a false ceiling. Is canopy fine? Fish bowl location is a loaded question. Some quick facts: it depends on its size. As for living areas, its not suitable for bedroom but suitable for bedroom. As for Bagua, anywhere that needs MORE wood and water elements is suitable (determined by various factors, such as amount of living space in that area of the home).
