I personally have doubts on how items can help with Feng Shui. The important thing is to be aware that the Feng Shui will affect your relationship (assuming you did your Feng Shui audit and analysis correctly). When you are designing your office environment, not only should you strive to have a desk setup that is practical for your work purposes, but you should also try to ensure that your desk would create positive energy so that you feel more motivated and energized as you work. Most people spend most of the day sitting at their computer desk, and when you spend several hours sitting in the same position looking at the same desk, it is easy for your morale to slide.

In feng shui, lucky bamboo is ideal when it’s straight. Sometimes you see the curly or twisted versions, which actually represent the opposite of upright and positive growth, such as spinning and downward spiraling energy. I love using lucky bamboo for feng shui applications because they can thrive in a variety of lighting conditions, in water or in soil, and are easy to find.

Yellow-tinted and fluorescent lights can make us feel fatigued and dull, and people prone to migraines may find them problematic. Research finds that Compact Fluorescent light bulbs (the twisty ones) may cause skin damage. LED bulbs, the more energy efficient choice, have upsides and downsides as well. They flicker in a hard-to-perceive way that can be disruptive to our eyes and mind, and they contain lots of blue light that can cause eye damage. After a lot of research, I've come to the conclusion that old-school incandescent full-spectrum light bulb may be the best way to go to promote a healthy, harmonious energy. Be sure to shut them off as soon as you leave a room to save energy.
