You can use the typical feng shui cures for each specific area, or come up with your own creative solutions. For example, we mentioned the light source to your left—upper left—which is an excellent feng shui cure for the wealth area. A vibrant plant to your left or a family photo is excellent feng shui for health. A photo of you and your beloved or a couple of crystals can be great feng shui for your love area.
If your light is too limited to grow healthy plants, or if you simply have a case of “brown thumb,” silk plants are an acceptable Feng Shui alternative to living plants. Be sure to dust them often and replace them if they fade. However, it's best to avoid dried flowers because they represent stagnant energy. If you simply can’t give up your dried arrangements, be sure to dust them frequently and replace them seasonally.

You would welcome a blast of positive energy at work. Feng Shui has been around a very long time and maybe there is something to it. At the very least, it asks you to think about what matters to you in life and where your energy should be focussed. When you consider how much time most of us spend at our your desks, a bit of balance with our true priorities might be just what we need.
"A lot of people see white as a neutral, but in Feng Shui it's often perceived as very sharp," says Frampton. "If I'm looking for the fresh crispness of a white, I'll go with a darker white or very light gray instead," she explains, and suggests Benjamin Moore Gray Owl. "It's a super-soft gray that can read as the right kind of white. We use that one all the time."
Because it has the power to increase productivity and happiness, Feng Shui is a great practice to bring into the workplace, and one simple way to do this is by introducing a number of office plants that help Feng Shui. This is because plants enhance the Wood element, which symbolises relationships and new beginnings, while their natural green is said to have a calming and relaxing influence on people.
Even if your dream color looked perfect in the store, and passed all the tests when it comes to your view, your goals, and so on, it can read the wrong way once you're at home. "Sample three colors — the one you love, than one warmer and one cooler. Get a test pot or small sample and paint a 12" square on your wall. Observe it at different times of day before you make your final decision."
If your working position (whether at home or in the office) is near or backed into a corner, place a small miniature plant in front of your table to bring positive energy to a stagnant area.  You will be able to work better and this will boost your health and stamina. Avoid cactus or any plants with thorns or too many flowers (this could be more of a hindrance than a help). Make sure you use real plants as fake plants can attract negative energy or even lower your current mood and self-esteem.
As an example, let us say that you work in a very bright office (the fire element) with an abundance of light colors including metal filing cabinets, computers, faxes, etc. (the metal element). In this case, you would want to focus on bringing in the other elements. Thanks for the tip. In my office, we do not have the freedom to choose and shift our desk. So it ended up that this newcomer’s desk was place directly opposite mine and I can immediately feel the fengshui went wrong. I was looking up on what to do since there is no choice about moving desk (we had very limited space) and will definitely try place the barrier (probably use the portable whiteboard and putting plants on my desk)

If so, file cabinets and closets tend to offer great storage space. Perhaps a low-sitting bookcase is best or simple shelving along the wall. If you wish to connect more with the digital age, you could store files on your computer and on an external drive. When in doubt, keep what you need, and release what you don't need. This may sound elementary, and yet it's an extremely powerful habit to adopt that transcends your physical, mental, emotional, and energetic bodies."

If you’re looking for more abundance and prosperity, you can place 3 or 9 stalks in the wealth area of your home, office, or bedroom—or better yet, in all three locations. To locate the wealth area of the feng shui map, stand in the entry door to the home or room. The far back corner on the left side represents wealth, prosperity and abundance. The bamboo will represent positive and steady growth.

If you definitely can’t move your sitting position, you can place an 8-x-10-inch mirror in a picture frame or on a small stand to reflect the entrance of the cube to allow you to see if anyone is approaching. Many people subconsciously use the reflections in their computer monitor to see who’s approaching them, because seeing the entrance is a basic human need. The problem is that the reflection in a monitor’s screen is distorted, unclear, and unreliable.
Good air purifying plants are a must for any workspace! You can choose a beautiful vibrant plant with a stunning pot, for example, in order to maximize its effect on your desk. Crystals are also a very popular feng shui cure, and there are many crystals that are suitable for your office. Various images can be targeted to specific goals, and so can specific items that you have a special connection with.
Yellow-tinted and fluorescent lights can make us feel fatigued and dull, and people prone to migraines may find them problematic. Research finds that Compact Fluorescent light bulbs (the twisty ones) may cause skin damage. LED bulbs, the more energy efficient choice, have upsides and downsides as well. They flicker in a hard-to-perceive way that can be disruptive to our eyes and mind, and they contain lots of blue light that can cause eye damage. After a lot of research, I've come to the conclusion that old-school incandescent full-spectrum light bulb may be the best way to go to promote a healthy, harmonious energy. Be sure to shut them off as soon as you leave a room to save energy.
