Many feng shui experts don’t suggest plants for the bedroom, however. This is because they believe the plant’s energy is far too high for a restful night’s sleep. However, if you already have a plant in your bedroom, and you sleep soundly, don’t panic. Some of the more modern schools of feng shui believe that “woodsy” elements can actually help some people flourish.5
A simple Fengshui trick is to attract good luck and positive energy at work, is to place either your handphone or your computer on the left hand side of where you sit at work. The reason is that the left side belongs to the Green Dragon, who brings you prosperity and harmony at work. The right side belongs to the White Tiger, which will attract more challenges at work (unless you are in a commanding position or unless you deal with difficult authorities all the time etc).
If you are hoping for a raise or looking to close a big business deal, metal elements should be put in the western corner of the room and can be used to bring on an increase in financial success, income, or profits. Metal objects can be made of metal or just colored to represent them. Design elements made of stone, metals, or marble will give the impression of professionalism and success.
You can use the typical feng shui cures for each specific area, or come up with your own creative solutions. For example, we mentioned the light source to your left—upper left—which is an excellent feng shui cure for the wealth area. A vibrant plant to your left or a family photo is excellent feng shui for health. A photo of you and your beloved or a couple of crystals can be great feng shui for your love area.
If it’s ok to do this does the height of the cabinets make a difference? I’m considering some that are around 2 metres high, or alternatively some that are 128cm high (these will reach the top of my head or possibly my forehead when I’m sitting), or alternatively lower ones. All the cabinets will be the same height, whichever I choose, and will go along the length of the wall behind the desk.

The jade plant, also known as the Asian money tree, is considered as the ultimate plant symbol for prosperity in many Asian cultures. It is frequently grown as a bonsai in Asian homes, business places, and gardens due to its ability to grow into a beautifully lush bonsai tree. If you have ever seen a decorative artificial plant with leads shaped from jade, this plant was likely the model. The jade plant features ovoid- or coin-shaped succulent leaves the color of jadeite, which is how it earned its name.
The entrance to your office is a key component of feng shui because it is what allows energy to flow freely into and out of your space. Therefore, making sure it is free of clutter is imperative. Also, the door to your office should open completely without anything getting in the way. These are the first steps you can take when applying the principles of feng shui to your workspace. The idea is that you will have your physical door wide open to welcome new clients, new work, and more money.
One of the key principles of feng shui is achieving happiness. One of the the easiest steps towards achieving this is through organizing and removing clutter around the office. The idea is that clearing away clutter helps bring in vital energy which promotes clarity and focus. Overall, 50% of your desk should be cleared. You want to be able to arrive at a clean desk when you get to work and leave with a clean desk at the end of the day. Taking the extra time to organize things correctly and efficiently will help you from having to do it again in a few months.
Hi, in my new shared dorm my desk is in the NE corner however their is a huge window that takes up basically the top half of the whole wall. Is it okay if my back is against the window so it faces the door or should i face it towards my bed so i turn my head right to look at the door and left at the window or should i face it towards the wall so i look left to the door and right to the window. My dorm room isnt the most ideal place for feng shui as it is my head is against a wall but right next to the window so i could look diagonally at the door and have a clear view of the whole room. Please help!
The "wealthy" plants in feng shui are not particularly air-cleaning, but they are gorgeous and great for anchoring your intention in a room. Some of the more wealth-symbolic plants are succulents, jade, and "lucky" bamboo. That being said, if a plant, tree, or anything symbolic chosen for "feng shui" reasons doesn’t inspire you, it’s not really worth getting. Let love rule your plant choices.
