Broken things have no place in your home. Everyone I know would be upset about a broken car, but they have broken door handles, broken appliances and all sorts of broken architecture everywhere in their living environment. Your space is a mirror of you. Don’t let it stay broken! While fixing things in your home you may find it easier to confront and fix other lingering issues or problems in your life at the same time.
The SE gate position had already been ony mind before you mentioned it. As my neighbours gate is directly right next to it. The other side of the gate, along the front fenceline is a public pathway. It can get very busy with people traffic night and day. I was thinking about having the gate maybe moved to the left and having it staggered slightly offset from the direction of the front door of the property. But thats more money to spend as it would need a builder to rebuild a wall etc. And the front garden area would need rejigging! As for illness,
The body is in a continual renewal process during the sleep state. From the hours of 10 p.m.  to 2 a.m. the body is in a state of repair. Skylights above the bed can negatively affect one of the most important regenerative processes of the body, liver cleansing. The light pouring through the skylight is cold chi and can force your life-force energy to flow upward, which is not conducive to the repairing process. Also, it can negatively impact your sex drive. It is best to cover up the skylight at night or consider moving it, if it is over the bed.
Natural light is obviously very important for a genuinely good feng shui energy, too. In case of a space that gets little or no natural light, a very smart and intelligent lighting system (ideally several layers of lighting with at least some full-spectrum lights) will make all the difference. In order to attract (and keep, as well as multiply!) the energy of abundance, you have to create an honestly good quality of energy in your space, there is no way around it.

Bedrooms beautiful spaces of all that represents you. It is well known that you can tell so much from a person just by how htere bedrrom looks and feels. Your bedroom reveals so much from a your interior style, daily lifestyle and personality. A bedroom is a sacred place and should be treated as such, it should reflect the inner most deepest sense of oneself. Its a sanctuary a place to shut out the world and be at one with yourself and your intimate thoughts and feelings.

The entrance to your home is your first impression. It tells a story and paints a picture about experiences one is about to go through the minute they walk through those doors. Add potted plants and doormats to make this spot elegant. You don’t want to overcrowd with elements, but keep it simple and inviting. Your entrance should welcome positive souls and ward away negative energy.

When your bedroom is on top of a garage, you sleep can be disrupted by a variety of factors, including the smell of car exhaust, noise from garage door movements, insects that creeps into your bedroom, and warmer bedroom temperatures. If these four factors are non-existent, your bedroom’s feng shui location should be fine. I wrote a full article about it, and you can read it here.

To many, love seems easy to attract and enjoy, but hard to keep. To others, neither attracting nor enjoying love works, let alone keeping it. And then there are those people who seem to not only enjoy and keep love but also constantly radiate love, thus attracting even more of it. What is their secret and how can you learn from these lucky people? Can feng shui explain it and help you attract and keep the love you dream of?
Get rid of your television. Television creates an unhealthy magnetic field which may disrupt your sleep, strain your relationship with your partner or bring a third party into the bedroom. If you have to keep it in the bedroom, then try to cover it with a scarf when you're not using it. If you're really serious about it, hide the TV in the closet when you're not using it, or place it on a shelf that can lock up, hiding the TV when it's not in use.
Rectangular or square tables are OK in the dining room because, even though they have corners, no one will be sitting in front of a point, as they might with a coffee table. But if a circular or oval table fits perfectly, it's an excellent choice. Natural materials, like wood, feel solid and warm. The sound of glass hitting glass can cause tension. And people get overly protective with glass tables—anything too precious brings on nervous energy.

First, you have to understand what is meant by ’empowering position’. Basically, a piece of furniture is in an empowered position when you can see the entrance to the room from where you are sitting, but are not in direct alignment with it. Your  bed, desk, and place where you spend the most time reading or watching television should always be in this position. If not, you will be spending most of your time feeling slightly weak: you will never feel truly comfortable if you can’t see what is going on in the room, and who is coming and going.
You could also use sheer curtains over the windows, but they should be made of expensive material, such as silk or real handmade lace. Window treatments in the feng shui Money Corner should be as lavish as is appropriate for your style. My favorite window treatment in this area is a layered look—nice sheers with heavy drapes that are pulled to the side in the day and closed at night. Part of the extravagance of the drapes should be an excess of fabric, where some of it puddles on the floor. Drapes that puddle on the floor are used in feng shui to pull energy upward, which is almost always a good direction to move energy.
Solutions: hang a faceted crystal in the center of the room; place a three-inch round mirror on the ceiling directly above the toilet to visually reverse the downward flow of water (use double-sided tape to hold the mirror in place); place earth-type objects in the corners of the room to stabilize the energy; add an image such as a bird or tree to the downstairs area below the bathroom to help lift the energy there.
If you’ve ever had a chat with a real estate agent about dated house fixtures in tacky gold finish, they will tell you that these houses are much loved by most Asian buyers. I’ve had clients who lived in such houses, and even though they hated the fixtures they feared changing them because that would be bad feng shui. The only bad feng shui was actually keeping those dated fixtures!
The head of the bed should be against a wall, but not under a window which could allow qi to flow outside and cause restless sleep. It's best not to place a bed under a structural or decorative beam or ceiling fan either, as this is good for neither physical health nor relationships. If moving your bed isn't an option, feng shui practitioners sometimes recommend hanging a bamboo flute (a special feng shui device) from the beam or fan to offset the effects.
These artworks can range from paintings to other types of home décor. As mentioned earlier, they are most suitable for the bedroom and sometimes the bathroom. Artworks with a pair of Mandarin Ducks are the most popular, well known, and widely used traditional feng shui cure for love. I personally suggest that you pick the artwork that you have the most feel for.
The only stress I really have IS the insomnia. However, it seems to be resolving a bit at a time. I thought I read that it was bad to have your feet facing the area of the toilet, especially the bathroom door. My feet face a bit to the side of the door, but I can see part of the bed from the bathroom. I’m glad I was mistaken on the wall! Thank you!

Have a solid headboard. The best Feng Shui headboards are the ones that are solid and made from wood, or the upholstered ones, as they have a very good combination of solid, but also gentle and supporting Feng Shui energy for you and your bedroom. While you are drifting off to sleep, your body is going into an extra busy energy repair work on many levels. Subconsciously, your head needs good backing, protection and support, just like your back needs it when you are sitting in a chair for extended periods of time.

While this may seem like an obvious problem to tackle around the house, we are all too guilty of accumulating tchotchkes that don't play a specific function in the home. According to Benko, clutter is more than just visually displeasing: "It's an energetic anchor that impedes the best things from unfolding in our lives," she says. "An excessive amount of clutter stops us from having clarity of thought, and can weigh us down emotionally." Feng shui is less about having an overly perfectly styled home, and more about creating a happy and healthy environment.
