Two of the sneakiest drains on your finances are leaky faucets and toilets that leak or run all the time. Invest a few dollars to replace the system in your tank if your toilet doesn't drain and fill up properly. If faucets leak, replace worn washers or other plumbing parts. When you have leaky faucets and toilets, your finances are being syphoned off with unexpected expenses or a constant out flow of income and resources.
This explanation differs from another I recently heard about classic Feng Shui, which is that the direction of your front door doesn’t necessarily indicate the facing side. Rather, you may have a side of your home without a door which faces an area of activity such as a highway, shopping center or even school, and that is considered the facing side. This is the case with my home as my front door faces my neighbor’s front door and the residential community, but the side of my home without a door faces a commercial area with stores, a school and a highway.

This is a good lifelong practice for everyone: single, partnered, child, adult. Bedrooms are the most aptly and literally named spaces in our homes. Bed. Room. They are meant exclusively for rest, rejuvenation, and intimacy. Electronics, on the other hand, are stimulating: They scatter our energy, steal our focus, and distract us from the pure. Ideally, the only items needing electricity in your room would be lamps and possibly an alarm clock or music source.
I think of the feng shui bagua as a complicated yin/yang symbol, with the most yang spaces being toward the far wall as you enter a space. The far wall has a lot of energy because it receives a lot of energy—it’s always the first thing we see when we walk into a room. The two far corners of the back wall are the most powerful corners in a room. The two back corners of the entire home are likewise important and powerful. Even the back corners of your yard are important, as the examples will show.
This one can be a bit tough, but if you are going through a rough patch or looking for a new love, getting rid of belongings from an old flame may be just the ticket. The idea is that this will get rid of any negative energy that may carry through from that relationship, allowing space for you to welcome someone new or correct problems with your loved one.
Stand inside your home with your back to the front door.* Look forward. The part of your home in the far left corner is the money sector. The far right corner is the relationship zone. Got it? You work the magic by placing certain items in certain zones; some have symbolic power, others a literal connection to the area. The eight-point system is intricate and layered; feng shui expert Catherine Brophy shares her best feng shui tips for making every room in your house feel calm and happy.
A Feng shui bedroom layout embraces the primary function of your bedroom, which is to serve such activities as sleep, relaxation and sex. Feng shui bedroom principles incorporate the right elements and furniture placement to enhance your overall health and well-being. These principles ensure the continued flow of chi energy through the balance of yin (female) and yang (male) energies.
Feng Shui is the art of attracting and building life energy for prosperity, well-being, and living in harmony with your surroundings. It literally translates to “wind and water” and has its roots in ancient Chinese tradition. ‘Chi’ is the core concept and philosophy behind Feng Shui and the Chinese believe it is found everywhere in life and nature, including inside your body.
One of the best ways to improve work and finances is to move your desk to the command position of the room. The command position is facing the door that opens into your office. Whether your office is strictly at home or you have one at home and in another location, it's important that you move your desk to this position. Make sure that you sit with a solid wall behind you and not a window. A window will not offer you any support in your work or career.
TV and computer screens emit high EMFs which are dangerous for your health and they often come with connotations of work, noise and stress, which is not what you want in your bedroom. If you do want a TV in your room, make sure it is turned off for at least an hour before you go to bed. Not only for Feng Shui benefits, but because this is proven to help you get a better night’s sleep.
Any expensive plant is good in the feng shui Money Corner, but it’s ideal if the plant is expensive and elegant. An extremely expensive African violet would be appropriate, especially if the flower color is a deep, rich tone. But it’s even better if the plant looks expensive to almost anyone. Tall plants are generally excellent in this area but make sure they don’t actually touch the ceiling because that says you’ve reached your limit. Palms are unmistakably elegant and very appropriate here, especially the expensive lady palm (Rhapis excelsia). Consider a variegated lady palm if you can find (and afford) one, but make sure it has a distinct variegation, not a blurry variegation. If your budget won’t stretch quite that far, parlor palm (Chamaedora elegans) is also fine. It’s also known as neanthe bella and although it doesn’t get as tall as most lady palms, it seldom needs repotting and is perhaps the most durable of all indoor palms. These two palms can grow without direct sun and are fairly trouble-free, which is important because sick or dying plants are sending the absolutely wrong message. And you certainly don’t want to spend a lot of money on a plant if you’re not confident you can keep it alive.
This energy she speaks of, also known as chi, is the foundation of feng shui. Good quality chi in your home is believed to promote strong relationships, support health and wealth and contribute to a better sense of well-being. If your bedroom is cluttered, has too many bright colors and is positioned poorly, your feng shui (and sleep) will suffer. Here are some of Cho’s feng shui tips for building a peaceful bedroom for better sleep.
Ever heard that for a good night’s sleep, you should only sleep in the bedroom? So many of us watch TB, use our computers and even work in the bedroom, and this interrupts its main function: to offer a calm place for sleep. This is the yin/yang concept: create balance in the home, with energetic activities going on in places like the kitchen or living room, but calmer ones going on in the bedroom and bathroom, for example. Keep electronics out of the ‘calm’ areas, too!
When you see the homes of wealthy people, the number one thing that you actually see is open space. An abundance of open space. Strange, no? Rarely do you see wealthy houses full to the brim with all sorts of stuff. It is the luxury of open space and plenty of breathing room that attracts more wealth energy. In feng shui terms this basically means there is open space to allow more and to enjoy more. To create more, explore more and be more.

A couple of things to add, I have 4 laughing Buddha`s – One Jade, 1 Golden, 2 Red(All Standing). One Red and 1 small Gold one have their hands up and Laughing and other two are carrying bags on their back and have place them in Living Room Showcase making them face to main door. I have installed a 18 bells type Metal Wind Chime at the Main Door Entrance Window – Left Side. Also I have 3 Legged Toad – Red Colour whom I have put near to the Main Door Window on a small table(coming inside house) and have put Velvet Red cloth underneath. I have put Money plant on top of Shoe Cabinet which is towards South side wall in the Dinning Room. I am also trying to increase the number of flowering plants at the entrance where there is Car Park.
Have inspiring art in your bedroom. Hang up images of calming scenes from nature, or other places that inspire you. Pick some neutral scenery, an image that motivates you to achieve your dreams, or something else that puts you in a calm and peaceful frame of mind. Anything too graphic, gory or just disturbing does not belong in your bedroom. Place the most inspiring image across from your line of sight in the bed, so that it's the first thing you see when you wake up.
"Not a single thing!" Brophy says. Because every item has its own energy, the more stuff that's piled under the bed (even if it's just extra bedding!), the less space there is for your own energy to pass through while you sleep. This can be a tough one, especially if you're lacking in the square footage department, but Brophy swears this is helpful to everyone, and particularly recommends it for people who have difficulty sleeping.
Put your money jar where you see it so your eyes can take in that image of money growing. It sends a message to your mind that you are focused on money. Keep a positive thought as you put the money into the jar and focus on the feeling money growing for you. Feng shui is very focused on symbolism and seeing money grow on a daily basis will draw money to you.
